Agnė's Dream

We are glad to witness that more and more dream of the children come true – both smaller and bigger dreams, some of them are often only whispered so no one would hear...

 

During the Christmas visit at Agnė‘s and her sister Viktorija‘s home we not only gave them their presents, but also heard their secret dream – to have bicycles. We believed that there would come the day when their dream came true.

 

It is a wonderful feeling to know that there are people who not only helped to make this wish come true, but also created a really miraculous day for Agnė and her family. The day started with the joyful children’s show “Spider‘s wedding“ at Kaunas Musical Theater. It was the first time the girls were at the real theater and therefore the performance and everything else around had left unforgettable impressions to them.

 

After the theater Agnė and her family went to dinner at “Bernelių užeiga”. Just before entering the inn we blindfolded both sisters and escorted them to the hall where their dream presents were already waiting for them. Agnė’s and Viktorija’s delight on seeing that their dream came true was indescribable. Two bicycles stood in front of them. Girls checked out the bicycle lights, gear shift knobs and even tried to sit on them... Shortly after that the sisters found two backpacks with sports shoes and clothes for them next to the bicycles.

 

After such surprise the food was the last thing on the girls’ mind. All they wanted was to start riding their bicycles as soon as possible. Therefore the eating was a fast affair. Just outside the restaurant, here – on one of Kaunas Old Town streets – girls started their bicycle riding lessons. The girls kept smiling and asking to ride again and again...

 

For the dessert we went to the Chocolate House. There is the door in this chocolaterie, behind which one can see how the real candies and chocolate are being made. And not just to see – the girls heard the history of chocolate, decorated sweets and made various truffles, and, certainly, tasted them.

 

The day full of impressions ended in the children's play room, where the girls engaged in running, climbing, skating, jumping...

 

At the end of the day the girls and their mother returned home, which is in Kelmė District.
