Ligita's Dream

Ligita really wanted to learn to play a guitar and have recently started making this dream come true. She started to attend guitar playing lessons. However, by beginning to learn to play the guitar, only a part of the dream came true.

 

Ligita’s dream would truly come true if she had her own guitar. So Rugutė decided to give it to Ligita as a present.

 

Ligita tells: "I was always dreaming to learn playing a guitar. When I met Edita and Lina in Kaunas, we went to the car and Edita said that she had a surprise for me – a new pet. At the time I thought, well I already have two pets – a dog and a chinchilla, and now I will have one more… Then Edita opened the trunk of the car and I saw the guitar. I was standing open-mouthed in astonishment because I was not even suspecting that this new “pet” is a guitar. The tears welled up in my eyes, but don’t think of anything wrong, these were the tears of joy. And then Lina gave me another present – the geisha‘s umbrella. And it was also a big surprise".

 

We are very happy because we were able to contribute to this particular Ligita’s dream, to see the genuine emotions and reaction when she saw the gift. In those moments we understand how inexpressibly good is to help the children's dreams to come true.
