Simona visits The International Week of Children with Leukemia in Turkey

The International Week of Children with Leukemia takes place in Antalya and Ankara from the 26^th of May to the 1st of June 2007. It is organised by LOSEV, the Foundation of Children with Leukemia in Turkey. It is already the sixth time that LOSEV invites children and their mothers from all over the world to joint this event.

 

This year‘s participant is Simona, she has painted a wonderful painting with ships for the organisers and cards with information about Lithuania for the participants.

 

During the event, children and their mothers can share their experiences of the disease, of the treatment, as well as their feelings and emotions. The guests also go on various sightseeing tours, take part in street festivals, games and activities such as swimming. The Week‘s organisers believe that the new network of friends from all over the world helps the children fight the disease more effectively.

 

Simona has always had a dream to visit Turkey and we are very happy that her dream has come true. We believe that Simona and her mother will not only get information about the treatment of leukemia in other countries but will also have a pleasant experience and will find new friends.
