Invitation to Attend the Voluntary Blood Drive

Commemorating the 7^th birthday of fund Rugutė, we would like to invite everyone to attend the voluntary blood drive, Share a Droplet, organized by fund Rugutė and the public entity Nacionalinis kraujo centras for the seventh time. Your participation would become the most meaningful gift to us and to the sick children.

 

For the first time ever, the informational bone marrow donorship campaign, Be Good , will be represented at our blood drive. During the blood drive, anyone who wishes to become a potential bone marrow donor will be able to register in the bone marrow donor registry. For some adults and children with leukemia, the bone marrow transplantation is the only hope to get well. Today, although Bone Marrow Donors Worldwide has over 18 million potential bone marrow donors, even this does not guarantee that matching donors will be found. This is why it is very important to register as many people as possible. Perhaps you are the one who could save someone’s life.

 

Whether you come alone or with a bunch of friends, all of you will be equally welcome. Every single person attending the blood drive is very important to us.

 

The voluntary blood drive, Share a droplet, will take place at Rugutė’s Home (P. Smuglevičiaus str. 45, Vilnius) on the 3^rd of December (Saturday), 2011, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A team of professionals from the public entity Nacionalinis kraujo centras will collect blood and provide care to the donors.
