At the beginning of the year 2008 Rugutė’s Home has opened its doors, becoming yet another haven for the children of Rugutė Fund.

At the time completely unfurnished Rugutė’s Home now meets its guests by enveloping them in its special comfort and warmth.

Childhood Cancer Fund Rugutė invites parents who lost their child to participate in regular meetings of the self-relief group, in which parents share their feelings, sufferings, and together try to find ways how to relieve the pain of their loss.

Thank You for the Drops of Your Blood

To our amazement (ant heartfelt thanks), 58 blood donors arrived to the Blood Drive that was organized for the sixth birthday of Rugutė on the 27^th of November, and gave a very meaningful gift to the sick children – a part of their own blood. It felt so good to embrace the returning blood donors from past blood drives, and it was also nice to meet and to encourage those who came for the first time to share their blood with children.

We say the most sincere thank you to all of you. By participating in our Blood Drive, you once again proved that it is possible to fill the ocean of disease that our little Fighters are struggling with, with drops of hope and goodness. This very precious gift of yours will be truly cherished by the children who face their worst enemy daily.

Also, we sincerely want to thank the team of public entity Nacionalinis kraujo centras for the time spent with us, for the warm friendship, and for the sincere care that was provided to every person willing to donate blood.
