A Droplet of Goodness

As time goes by, we come to the realization that the only values in this world are health and the possibility to help others, especially those who are not gifted with good health. This is why on my anniversary I asked my friends to not buy me flowers, but to donate the flower money to children of Fund Rugutė. I am very glad that I was able to bring some sense into my anniversary by supporting Rugutė’s children. It is especially good to know that each of my friends added a drop to the goodness that was to be spread to others. It was not my idea – I borrowed it from my school-friend at his anniversary, so I want to thank him first of all. Even though the amount of money raised at my anniversary was quite modest, I wish that many people will get infected with this idea. I hope that at least one of my friends will follow my example, just like I did follow my friend’s example, and that the idea to donate money for those in need, instead of spending it on temporary holiday attributes like flowers, will step-by step spread throughout the country.
