Aistė visits The International Week of Children with Leukemia in Turkey

From the 30^th of May to the 5^th of June 2009, nine year old Aistė and her mother took part in The International Week of Children with Leukemia in Turkey.

 

During the week, Aistė spent three days in Ankara and four in Antalya. Together with participants from many other countries she went on sightseeing tours and took part in games, while her mother Guoda had a chance to meet with parents of children suffering from leukemia.

 

Following the trip we met Aistė at Vilnius Airport and strongly felt that LOSEV has achieved its aim to make the children suffering from leukemia smile. Aistė brought back many positive impressions: she was telling us how language is not a barrier to communication, was sharing her memories of the places she visited, the events she took part in and, most importantly, the new friends she made.
