A Word of Thanks to Participants of Blood Drive Share a Droplet

On the 3^rd of December Rugutė’s Home was full of life. People gathered together for a noble purpose – to donate their blood. Some came alone and some brought their children or a bunch of friends.

 

During the 7th blood drive Share a Droplet that was organized by Fund Rugutė and public entity Nacionalinis kraujo centras, 43 donors gave their blood. Those who had not registered in the bone marrow donor registry seized the perfect opportunity to do it during the blood drive. The bone marrow donor registry was extended by 27 names of potential bone marrow donors.

 

From all of our hearts we thank all the participants of the blood drive Share a Droplet
for their noble initiative. Your blood means a lot to severely ill people as it provides
them with a hope to live.

 

We are happy that the organizers of Be Good initiative supported the idea to provide an opportunity for all the participants to register in the bone marrow donor registry during the blood drive Share a Droplet, and that this idea was successfully implemented.

 

We thank Aistė and Adomas, the fine volunteers of Be Good, for describing the bone marrow donation and transplantation procedures, and for answering the participants’ questions.

 

As always, we want to express our sincere thanks to all the staff and volunteers of public entity Nacionalinis kraujo centras for their professional work and care they provided to
the participants of the blood drive.
