The Feast of Joy in Sweden
No less than eleven families from Rugutė were touched by the warmth and light of The Feast of Joy that took place on the 28^th of September in Sweden. We thank Mr. Bengt Nilsson for the miracle – the trip to Sweden that ignited smiles on our beloved ones‘ faces.

For the third year in sequence we are holding an event that brings our Great Fighters, their little siblings, parents and closest friends to the Island of Love, Friendship and Hope.

The Bridge of Friendship Sweden-Lithuania continues
Childhood Cancer Fund Rugutė is happy that The Bridge of Friendship Sweden-Lithuania continues. Mr. Bengt Nilsson, who had sent a mini-bus full of Christmas gifts for sick children of Lithuania, arrived to Lithuania on the 7^th of August together with his family, policeman and pediatrician.

Friends From Japan Have Not Forgotten Lithuanian Children With Oncological Diseases
Childhood Cancer Fund Rugutė received support from Japan again. Yuki Ando, composer and conductor, raised funds during his anniversary concert in the prestigious concert hall Tokyo Opera City, and allocated half of these funds to the sick Lithuanian children.

Jekaterina’s Trip to Moscow
We are happy that the circle of Rugutė’s friends is expanding both in Lithuania and abroad. When Viktorija, the diplomat of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Russia, offered a visit to an event for children with oncological diseases and the performance of Ch. Khamatova Three Sisters in Moscow for one of Rugutė’s families, we suggested it to Jekaterina’s family.

Ne day i received a strange request i from Ginger Houghton who has been the inspiration and driving force behind much of our work in Lithuania. She said a member of the Knights of Lithuania had heard the name "Rugute", a program of some sort that was doing good things in Lithuania.
