Onco-Olympics 2010 in Warsaw

Six families of Rugutė took part in the Onco-Olympics 2010 in Warsaw on the 16^th-18^th of July. Małgorzata and Tomasz Osuch, heads of the Polish Fundacja Spełnionych Marzeń (The Fulfilled Dreams Fund), had visited Lithuania in April, 2010 , and had invited our sick children to represent their country in the Olympic Games for children.

The Island of Friends 2010

It was a day filled with infinite love, warmth of our hearts and child-like play. It was a day that awarded everyone with special feelings, like getting lost in an embrace of a dearly missed friend and knowing that there is nothing in the world as precious as friendship.

Though the last Saturday proved being far from spring, a number of young performers spread the warmth of spring in the cellar hall of St. Ignotas Church and sent their sincere and sunny wishes to the sick children.

We are so glad because the friendship bridge with one more friendly country – Poland – is being built. It was 9^th-11^th of April when the Polish Fund‘s Fundacja Spełnionych Marzeń  founders Małgorzata and Tomasz Osuch and employee Agata Cwalina visited Lithuania.

Good Luck Windmill! – a slogan, that opened our hearts and brought goodness from one heart to the other, is still ringing in my ears. Indeed, the windmills produce Happiness, Laughter, Sincerity and Devotion.

A Word of Thanks to the Blood Donors
We sincerely want to thank all, who, on the 6^th of February, rushed to Rugutė’s Home willing to share something special that many of us call Hope and that some of us are so waiting for – droplets of blood.

On the 8^th of January (Friday) the little patients of VUVL Oncohematology Division continued to enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Children received gifts that were delivered to Lithuania by Swedish Elves before Christmas, as well as the gifts from the students of Vilnius Rytas secondary school.
